1.一条原则（principle）

不是单项的吸收而是积极的双向互动

Text (文字的解码）background knowledge

读者需要调动很多头脑中已有的知识，和文本的内容积极的互动和猜测，调整和推测（ hypothesis--comfirmed--modify；overthrow）

2. 标题： The scope of ecology

Q: What is this text likely to be about? (based on the topic/title?) (guessing)

3. No living creature, plant or nimal can exit in complete isolation.（main idea)

Q: The writer starts by  a generalization. What next do you think?

4. 两个过渡changes（表层理解--深层理解；语法分析--语篇分析）

5. 提出理解问题：Four levels of comprehension (questions)

（一）literal 表层（What are the seven kinds of energy mentioned in this selection? How many characteristics are there in the ecology?)

(二） Interpretative ( What is temain idea of the selection?) 归纳 (3/4)

main idea/cause-effect/ 

(三） critical: (Can we live without the sun? expain.)

(四）imaginative--creative （If we were able to harness the sun's energy efficiently, what consequence would it bring for us?)
